Several times, I have documented my favorite Android apps. But as my Android devices have expanded, I noticed that my favorite Apps on my smartphone weren't necessarily my favorite apps on my tablet. So as of today I'm documenting my favorite apps for my Tablet, which happens to be an Acer Iconia A100 7" tablet running Honeycomb 3.2. My rules . . . These are apps I use daily. There are several awesome apps out there, but for it to appear on my list, frequency of use plays a very important role in what makes this list. Let's do this:
- Groove IP - This app, in conjunction with Google Voice, lets you make unlimited calls to any phone in the U.S. or Canada using the data connection of your mobile device (including Wi-Fi and/or 3G,4G) without using your mobile minutes. Once you get a free public phone number from Google Voice, use this app to make or receive calls to/from anyone in the world.
- Pulse - Pulse News is a beautiful app that takes your favorite websites and transforms them into a colorful and interactive mosaic. Tap on an article to see a clean and elegant view of the news story. Save stories for reading later across all platforms or sync them with Instapaper, Read it Later and Evernote. Sharing a story via Facebook, Twitter and email is as easy as two taps.
- Youversion Bible - The #1 rated and ranked Bible App for FREE. We want to make it easy for you to read and share God's Word. 150+ free translations and almost 200 Bible reading plans to help you read the Bible and track your progress. And if you don't feel like reading, it the speaker icon and it will read it to you!
- Google Plus - It might not have the Facebook Billions of users, but I am really enjoying this app. I love that I can take a photo and that it can auto-upload it to my Photo Albums, for me to share later (or not) You can videochat with up to nine people right from your smartphone! And you can share stuff with who you want!
- Words with Friends - The cool thing here is that you can play with both your Android and iPhone/iPad-toting friends, as well as persons on Facebook. This is a highly addictive game! I usually have three or four different matches going at any given time.
